LODGING / LOGISTICS
Getting to Hood River
The best place to fly into is Portland International Airport. It is a 60 minute drive from PDX. We are still sorting out transportation to and from but there will be one shuttle before the race and one shuttle after. We can not do multiple days or times.
Lodging
This race will NOT have a central hotel location and lodging is not included in the registration fee. Discounts and codes for hotels will be in newsletter #2. If you want to book an airbnb, that is also a very good option. We recommend getting a hotel or airbnb close to the water front or near downtown as that is where pre race meetings and the post race ceremony will be.
Key Places
Bring your family
This is an amazing race to bring your family and loved ones to because it is one of our most spectator friendly expedition races yet!

While it will still take some adventuring to find teams, our live tracking will allow people to find their loved ones at transition areas and at some certain spots out on the course.

Hood River itself is an amazing town that is surrounded by family friendly hiking and biking trails, beaches, and beautiful mountains. It is the best time of year to pick apples at the orchards, go to the farmers market and play!
We will be sending out a list of all of our favorite things to do and see in Hood River, White Salmon and the Gorge to all of our racers as the time gets closer.
